Lefkada

Lefkada is a beautiful verdant island on the Ionian Sea with numerous bays and amazing beaches.

Although less well known than Corfu and Kefallonia, and despite its small size, Lefkada hosts some of the most extraordinary landscapes in Europe.

The island offers a unique natural beauty, characterized by a mountainous terrain with dramatic cliffs, immaculate white pebble and golden sand beaches with turquoise crystal waters, among the Mediterranean’s very best.

Egremni and Porto Katsiki are the most famous beaches of the island’s west coast, while the resort of Vasiliki, on the south coast, is a popular windsurfing center. Οn the northwest coast, Kathisma  is an excellent option for families and Agios Nikitas beach the perfect alternative destination for those who seek more peaceful holidays.

The cosmopolitan town of Nydri on the east coast, offers a wonderful marina facing the famous island of Skorpios, formerly owned by Aristotle Onassis, Meganisi and a picturesque cluster of small islands. From Nydri port there are daily ferry services to Meganissi island as well as to Fiskardo on Kefalonia and Frikes on Ithaki.

The town of Lefkada is connected to the mainland of Greece by a 50m floating bridge, making this beautiful island an easily accessible destination.
