Alonnisos, GREECE

Alonnisos

Alonnisos is the third largest island of the Sporades.

An island green and authentic, rich in fauna and flora, it is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes of Greece. The Sporades National Marine Park, located at the northern end of the island, provides a refuge for the Mediterranean seals Monachus Monachus, this rare and intelligent mammal who lives in inaccessible caves.

The southern part of the island offers gorgeous lace beaches and picturesque coves with turquoise waters.

Milia is one of the most beautiful beaches of the island with emerald waters and white pebbles, while Golden Millia, with its sandy beach and shallow waters, is ideal for families and water sports. Megalos Mourtias is the favorite beach of those staying in Chora, while Lefthos Gialos is the cosmopolitan beach with two beach bars, preferred by the yacht owners.

Easily accessible and in a short distance some of the most beautiful islands of Greece, Peristera, Gioura, Piper, Skantzoura and Psathoura.
